"Since 2018, I'd been intermittently studying at five different GMAT coaching classes, believing a high score was key to top business schools abroad. I was getting better, but I was far from my goal. "I am immensely grateful to the invaluable guidance and support provided by Gaurav Sir and JAG Educate in my GMAT prep journey and B school application process. I was in a confused state of mind regarding my career & B school aspirations, and this when I met Gaurav Sir. I decided to join JAG in July, 2022 after having a long discussion with Gaurav Sir. I had enrolled in GMAT (Classic edition) prep classes, Profile development program & B School application consulting services of JAG. First, regarding GMAT Prep- JAG's offline batch’s size is quite small and this brings out a good classroom participation. I had opted for online classes for most sessions and Gaurav Sir was quite flexible in the timings, which was quite helpful for me. I can say with all confidence that Gaurav Sir is one of the best coaches for Verbal in India. The practice sessions with Sir strengthened my basics and his ability to penetrate into a student's thought process and rectify it, is something quite noteworthy. He was available for my doubts all the time. It took me sometime to understand that the approach for Quant in GMAT is quite different from that of other exams and GP Sir’s tricks were quite helpful.
The profile development program proved to be a game changer/decider in my B school Application process. I still remember Gaurav Sir ‘s words which he told me 2 years ago, “it’s very difficult to figure out the parameters that B schools use to evaluate a candidate. Scores are no doubt very important but in some rare occasions, working on one’s profile & preparing a good application can increase one’s chances even with a decent score”. Gaurav Sir carefully goes through a candidate’s profile, joins the dots and then suggests the best course of action for the profile.
The application consulting process with Gaurav Sir was indeed a good learning experience. Sir has a good idea about B schools that would prefer a candidate with a certain profile and specific score . His suggestions on an innovative application pitch and on style of presenting my strengths, helped me a lot. Sir’s tips for a good CV and help in creating a good CV was crucial during PI preps. Application consulting is mostly a two-way process and candidates need to be quite active here, and bring out a lot of their own perspectives.
I wouldn’t say the entire GMAT and application consulting journey was smooth with no bumps. There were twists and turns, depressing moments and happy ones as well, each part having its own lessons .Gaurav was there with me in the entire journey and believed in my potential.

"I started working with Jag and Gaurav Sir because I had very specific needs and less time! Gaurav sir was always there encouraging even when things were not working out. Sometimes he was more hopeful and ambitious for my applications than me.
He helped me create a wonderful CV, I feel making things short and fitting the most important achievements in most important.
Then coming to HEC admits, I already had multiple admits from other schools and it was just before COVID struck all of us. HEC application is very long since it has 6 essays along with the application form. I took help for 4 out of 6 essays. Gaurav Sir came up with great essay storylines(structures) for them.
The process JAG follows is good. There are long telephone conversations to know about you then there is a long list of questions which you need to fill up which will be used as a based material. Based on that material the essay storylines are created. Then coming to editing and making all fit in the word limit keeping in mind what’s that one thing that will stand out in the essay, also no repetitions since each essay must be unique.

I started preparing for GMAT along with a job in hand which seemed a difficult situation for me because even after preparing for 4 months by myself I could not get a decent score in GMAT. But after joining JAG, I found out that the issue was with my thinking process. I realized although GMAT has the same basics as of other management competitive exams in India but it requires a slightly different angle of thought flow which I got when Gaurav sir started guiding me with each and every question. He brought in me the GMAT perspective of thinking. And after joining JAG, it took me just 3 months to get a good score, and after that get an admit from a respected B School in Europe.
